Sowing and planting

Your gamlas are empty, and you start craving aloo methi, sarson ka saag and mooli ke kofte? The rainy season is almost over, and September is the perfect time to sow all your winter vegetables.

This hands-on workshop will teach you all you need to know about the science of sowing and getting started in this season on your Farmlet or terrace garden.

You will be sowing and planting on our community farm beds– and there is nothing like learning by doing! While sowing and planting together, we will cover not only the requirements of greens, herbs, and the gobi family, but also how potatoes, onion, garlic, root vegetables and more can successfully be grown even in a small space.

What you will take home from this workshop:

· Confidence to start your vegetable patch

· Hands-on experience in sowing and transplanting saplings

· New gardening friends whom you can keep updated about your growing experiences
