DITTY – SONGS FOR FORESTS

October 30 2022 at 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm

We’re traveling through 6 cities in India, singing in gardens and collaborating with local environmentalists to start important conversations around climate change, sacred ecology, communal regeneration and transformation. We are aiming for the tour to be low in emissions and pollution + carbon neutral. We hope to plant forests and restore lands as we go.

We will be screening a documentary from Ditty’s last attempt to make carbon-neutral touring possible. Make forests not war tour was started in March 2020. We had completed 4 cities but had to postpone the remaining 5 due to COVID-19. This is our attempt to get back on the road and share our journey with all of you.

About the Artist –
Singer-Songwriter, Environmentalist | Goa/ Berlin Ditty, is an Indian independent artist and urban ecologist whose music is inspired by the natural world. She started by playing music on the streets to reclaim public spaces. Her 2019 debut album, Poetry Ceylon was named the debut album of the year by India Today. Ditty was selected as one of 30 emerging artists from all around the globe to be part of the Talent Exporter Program at Midem 2020 in Cannes. She is currently collaborating with German organisation Viva Con Agua, to set up an artist collective– Faraway Friends, to address urgent ecological topics through art and inclusion. With her tour, Make Forests Not War, she is working on a conscious model for artist touring to offset carbon emissions. She is actively planting forests in India.
