Master Kitchen Gardener Series

Edible Routes is launching a certificate Master Kitchen Gardener Series facilitated by our gardening expert Kapil. Through interactive, theoretical and practical sessions, home gardeners will gain in-depth knowledge of growing organic produce at home. The idea is also to spread the pleasures of fresh and healthy produce with families, friends and our community.
Register now to become a Master Gardener and a local expert on kitchen gardening. Upon completion of the series, you will have the experience and knowledge needed to build and maintain a kitchen garden at home as well as in your community.
When: Every Second and Fourth Saturday, 4 pm – 5:15 pm, starting from 8th August (recordings will be available for one week for those who miss a session)
Duration of the Series: 26 online sessions of 75 minutes each over 1 year
Price: First 20 registrations @ 9,900/- + 18% GST. After that price will be 12,900/- + 18% GST.
Know Your Facilitator:
Kapil Mandawewala – Founder & CEO, Edible Routes
Kapil studied Management of Information Systems & Finance from the University of Texas at Austin (1999-2003). He then worked for Deloitte Consulting in San Francisco as a Senior Consultant for five years.
In 2008, Kapil relocated to Gujarat to start organic farming at his 22-acre farmland. During the next five years, he established a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) system through which residents could buy local, seasonal, and fresh produce directly from the farm. He then founded Edible Routes in 2015 with the aim to help more and more people grow their own food.
Kapil has trained with Bhaskar Save in 2011, and in greenhouse cultivation from the Horticulture Training Centre in Talegaon, Maharashtra in 2012. Between 2012 and 2014, Kapil participated in the Shod Yatras in Mizoram, Manipur and Punjab with Prof. Anil Gupta, IIM Ahmedabad. He obtained his Permaculture Design Certificate in 2014 after training with Rico Zook. Since 2018, Kapil is certified as a ‘Permaculture Teacher and Designer’ by Rosemary Morrow.
With the Edible Routes team, he has created more than 1000 edible gardens and manages 25 farms in Delhi, NCR, Uttarakhand, Orissa, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Gujarat.
