Edible Routes

Testimonials

Our Community has helped us grow as much as we have tried to grow the community. Let’s hear what they have to say about us and their tryst with Nature..

I have attended two workshops by Edible Routes, the second one “winter workshop” was on their Farm and it was such a grounding experience! I was there with my 5year old son and we both had a great day of learning, doing and just being in nature right here in the city. The simplicity and authenticity in their workshop design made it very easy to still remember the core concepts and actually practice those concepts. The workshop strengthened our resolve and confidence that we can and will begin to grow our own food – we have been blessed with a bountiful harvest of karela, palak, methi, pudina, tulsi, kakdi, celery and cholai! With Edible Routes continued support and help from other urban gardeners will never stop growing!

I often wondered where my food came from, how long back was it harvested, what all has been sprayed on it to make it look like it does. At the same time it was a dream to be able to grow my own food. But I wasn't skilled, neither did i have any space so it seemed like an impossible dream; untill i came across Edible Routes. A farmlet meant I could get my hands dirty and at the same time get access to a variety of seasonal and fresh vegetbles. I got guidance from the edible routes experts and met like-minded people. Visiting my Farmlet soon became the favorite part of my week. It provides the perfect natural and meditative escape in this busy city life. And each time I cook and eat the vegetables from my farmlet, I know I am eating the purest form of food that I feel connected to; as I saw that plant in every stage and form.

I’d like to thank Kapil and his team for getting me involved with kitchen gardening. I have now converted five more friends into avid kitchen gardeners. Due to Edible Routes, we’re also looking at dong community-level waste management to ensure and unlimited supply of compost for the colony.

Edible Routes is doing amazing work on educating people by giving practical knowledge on urban gardening. The capital needs it desperately. I attended an urban gardening workshop, 50% part of it was hands on, therefore it gave me confidence to start gardening at home.
